Let’s Go Picnic
- If it’s a romantic picnic for two, pack crystal glasses wrapped in cloth napkins and a tablecloth. For an outing with the kids, throw a package of paper plates and cups in the grocery cart.
- Bring necessary utensils for your menu from home: serving bowls, sharp knife, corkscrew, can opener.
- If you got a long way to drive from the supermarket to the picnic site, take along a cooler and buy ice at the store.
- Don’t forget drinks. Depending on your menu, choose bottled water, soda, juice, beer, or wine.
- Before you leave, think about every element. You don’t want to find yourself trying to relax at the lake, wondering how you’re going to open the canned pate.
- Take along a trash bag or use grocery sacks for easy cleanup. A roll of paper towels will come in handy too.
- If you’re bringing your dog, don’t forget dog food, water, and a water bowl. A hungry dog is not a happy dog.
