A letter.

Dear Mr R Johnson,
I am writing To Whom It May Concern,
In regards to the conditions in your local factories. on my recent visit to Ulter Waiters Textiles I was horrific and extremely disturbing things. I saw children being beaten, children working as young as seven years old, a girl about to get her poor little food squashed by the huge machines. I saw blood everywhere across the floor, children tired and exhausted. cotton dust which can cause Pneumoultramicroscopicosilicovolcanoconiosis which is a disease that can kill.
The homes that you provide were filthy, overcrowded and disgusting. diseases and germs can spread easily.
in the factory the noise is horrendous, the sound is deafening. also the smell in the factories from the machines is awful. the children smell of oil and they can’t have a bath. One of the worst is unsuitable clothing, children get sucked into the machines and they die miserably.
My suggestion is that you do not employee children any younger than twelve. Although they won’t be as flexible as smaller children, it will help workers by younger helping others. to let your workers have freedom, more food and water. this will benefit you so they don’t get ill and tired, so much more work can be produced.
You should make more houses so it is overcrowded. if someone was to come down with flu, it will spread more quickly to more people.
You should clean your factory, if not then most of your workers will become ill. I saw blood all over the factory, it was a disgusting sight.
In the factory there are massive machines with sharp ends, children could get hurt or their clothes could get trapped in it.
The workers in your factory breathe in cotton dust which as I said can kill. If you were to invent some sort of a suction machine, so it won’t affect your workers.
Finally the worst thing that I saw was poor innocent children being beaten. the child may have done something wrong or not even anything wrong but they didn’t deserve a brutal beating. My suggestion is not to scare the worker they will be calm and will not run away.
Overall I thing that you should take on board what I have said, problems and solutions. It will benefit workers and mainly you. You will have more cotton being produce and more money coming in.

Yours Sincerely
