Dear Sam,

    You are a very special boy.  So, when you are

unhappy or  sick we all want you to be better

soon.

     Your Mom and Dad are sad when you

are sick.  Grand Dad and I would like to give

you a big hug and make you smile. 

    One person that can help when we are sick,

 is the doctor.  A doctor can give you medicine

to make you feel better. 

   You will feel much better very soon and all of us

 will be happy!

  Dear Sam,

    Birthdays are really fun!  In only three more days, it will be a very

big birthday party all over the United States.  We will celebrate

our nation’s birthday. 

     I like the fourth of July , because everyone is happy.  We have

firework shows, picnics and many fun activities .  The only sad

thing about the day is that Grand Dad and I are not able to

come see you and your parents this holiday.   

   But, maybe before the summer is over, we will be able to travel.

This is a very busy season for us.  Maybe you can visit us one summer,

we will need a helper.
