Just a poem written in the depths of my relationship sorrows.
I was knocked down to learn to live
Because without you I didn’t know how to give
My love away because I was scared
But without this lesson I would’ve been unprepared
For life comes with endless men
And I’m bound to find love all over again
Don’t worry-of course I’ll remember you
And mentally thank for all you do
I know we won’t talk, for there won’t be time
With our true loves always on our minds
Before I was worried to let you go
Where I’d be without you, I didn’t know
Now the fire has died down
But I only smile, I don’t wear a frown
I know it’s better off this way
And I gave you this poem as the last chance to say
Thank you for the life you’ve given me
And you’ve opened my eyes to see
Life is more than hiding from fear
Thanks my love, for making that clear.
