A lie does not exist on its own. In what way are you involved?

At some point in our lives, each one of us would come across a little act of dishonesty. It is a selfish act but nevertheless, sometimes it needs to be done, it seems. Lying is never advantages to anyone else except the liar himself… initially, that is. It’s a back door out of a trapped situation. Much like getting drunk under a lot of stress.

There are usually four types of people involved in a lie. The Liar, the Influenced, the Enhancer and the Silent. Lies always come in chains. A lie does not end by itself. It gets lonely after a while. One lie always leads to another and even when everything has come clean, there’s always a tinge of it left somewhere.

The Liar is the powerhouse in the lying process. He is the brain behind all lies. The chef, the engineer, the designer, the fire-starter and is also usually, the guru of all lies.

He marks his victim with a huge ‘X’ before drawing up a plan to suck him (the victim) dry of his reputation. He must know his victims really well to ensure that every single bit of their flesh will be marred the way he wants it.

Don’t get me wrong when I use the male pronoun throughout this article. I’m not saying that women are not capable of cooking up such dishes. In fact, in most cases, the woman prepares the best for consumption. And women are just as keen (and cunning) on playing any role in LIES as men are.

The Influenced are those who hear and read, and then innocently believe in the lies made by the Liar. They are the energy that voluntarily help to spread the lies and fight for what they were influenced to think is true.

The Influenced are the tools, the instruments used by the Liar to stir the audience’s peace. They are being used to cause riots and anger, bearing shame to the victim, and fear and devastation to the victim’s loved ones.

Because of their belief in these lies, the victims and their loved ones suffer greatly in many aspects – physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually and financially – and worst of all, the influenced are so blinded by the lies, they disregard the young and unprotected of the victim’s family. However, if they do find out later on that it was all a hoax, it’ll be an agony of guilt for them.
