Life is a highway By: Lisa Nilles
Life as a highway shows me how fast people want to just get from here to there. As you can see, nobody else is on this highway. Everybody just goes so fast that it appears that you are driving in the middle of the road. I think the artist is trying to express how everybody is in a hurry to get somewhere through nowhere fast. It appears the artist shaded the desert and highway with a sepia tone. I think the artist had intended in making the surrounding area look a lot warmer. It looks like a hot day outside of the town Reardan. My thoughts have changed about the work because I never thought about the picture intending on showing how much people really want to just get through the boring.
