Nobody wants to go through the bad things in life. But if it weren’t for the bad things to compare with, we wouldn’t know what a positive thing was. Life would be one, boring experience.
Life is wondrous
Life is never a straight path.
There’s always another hill or another valley.
Perhaps a twist in the road that we didn’t anticipate.
But a dip here or a rise there
is more of a gift in life than it is a curse.
It helps us learn to weather life’s little upsets.
To keep going when we’d rather give in.
To appreciate the peace we feel between those dips and rises.
No, life is never a straight, boring path.
But if we grab hold and enjoy the journey,
it is wondrous.
