Life Long Learning – The Quest For Knowledge, Or the Stimulation of Growth.
Life long learning – the quest for wisdom, or the arousal of tumor?
“why are we here? “
“to debate learning. “
“who wants to talk about that? All has previously been said. “
“very little has happened. “
“so why are you here? “
“to debate the waste of kid’s lives. Every child grows up in teach. He spends 10 to 20 years in that surroundings. He is there when he is most open to new try and least load by the useful duty of life. And the effect are very poor. Quiting is wrong with the whole operation. “
“that’s easy enough to say. What would you change? “
“i would emphasis learning for tumor rather than for wisdom. ” (mann 1972).
From the moment we come into this world and take our first air, learning is inborn. As we grow, the world around us reveal and new trys varying from plot and agitation, disappointment and fear, wet our wish and feed our desire for more learning. As we grow older, life give a hiting kind of complications and dare and places us in surroundingss over which we have little or no rule. It is partly the way in which we fail; cope; conquer; or gain and learn that shapes our evolution. The community in which we live and the aid we have valid inward our network of parental; family; peers; educator; and adviser also promote our tumor. Life long learning in a learning community is an goal which, as we will see later, is sadly not valid to all, but those who grasp it, anyway of the force in which they live, win the chance to reach their full ability.
“does some reader say, why should you touch this event? And i reply, i have a library now of about three thousand volumes. . . ; but in that first buy lay the spark of a fire which has not yet gone down to the white ashes, the zeal which grew with my tumor, to read all the books in the early years i could lay my hands on, and in this wise do me in some fit for the work i must do in the office. . . . I see myself in the far away time and cottage learning, as i may truly say in my case, for dear life. (robert collyer b. 1823)
Rose (2001) is trying to exhibit that the power of learning at such an early age assist robert collyer inward his youth, into his acting years as a clerk and the desire stay in retirement. The catalyst? Simply the moment when, as a child worker in a linen factory, he chose to pick up his first book, ‘the history of wbeatington and his cat’. This would hint a strong claim to place the duty for enduring learning in the hands of the sole, anyway of their circumstances. However, an facing view is fluently put by paulo freire, a brazilian educator and political philosopher, who was born into poverty.
