She tells me she does not know what she would do without me; she has no idea what I would do without her and her support.

My neighbor is the sweetest, proud Italian, and elderly lady that I have ever had the opportunity to be friend. She is the mother of two sons, who have there own lives, and really are not able to do what a daughter tends to do. As woman we bond, and that is what my neighbor and I have done, we have bonded just as a mother and daughter does especially later in life. I do for her just as I try to do for my own parents, but with them living quite a distance away, makes it a bit hard for me.
With my neighbor close and near, welcoming me with open arms to hug and kiss me as she greets me makes me realize just how grateful I am to have such a loving woman living so near. I listen to her stories and sometimes she may repeat herself, but that is all right because she is always there to share my hopes, listen to my troubles; and supports me in many ways. She has grown older, as I look back at photos, but she is still strong and I admire her for that. She has always been so helpful, she is my sunshine on a rainy days; providing me with rays of sunshine topped with pleasure, to help me smile when I am feeling low.
She has been my neighbor now, for nearly seventeen years, and as God closed one door, when her husband passed away; he opened the door to both our hearts, and created a friendship unlike any other I ever experienced.
So love thy neighbor, yes I do and it gives be great joy that our paths have crossed and I have been so instrumental in her life.
