Upon discovering a diary which belonged to a girl named Alice, we are thrown into the unique perspective of the world which revolves around her.

I’ve always thought that lovesick was a silly word, whereas someone being lovesick was more laughable than ever and the symtoms I find ridiculous and illogical.
Yet today, after witnessing a particular account, I guess I have no other choice to eat my words and testify that being lovesick is indeed probable. And oh, what lovesick can do to a person is unbelievable.
“Lovesick” is the phenomena when one longs for the love of another. Loving or missing the other person till we get sick in our hearts due to excessive emotional turmoil. It IS not at all pleasant.
In the beginning, you will become moody, starting to daydream and having a loss of appetite.
In the second stage, we start to get depressed, the hungry longing to see the other. Our eyes will fill up easily as we think about them every moment of the day, until we even dream about them at night.
Soon after, we tend to become paranoid that the other does not care for us anymore. We tremble at the thought, we have butterflies in our stomach, we get so sick of missing our other half that we begin to feel nauceous. It is also when we start to get into ridiculous fights with our partner because we feel insecure.
Then we feel faint, we feel like our essence is divided, floating around, and our head in a mess. Its like we live a life that is not yours, as if you’re just a by passer. You couldn’t care less about yourself. We are pining so badly that our body starts to react to it.
Finally, we really fall sick. I guess that’s why people call it Love’SICK’.
I guess the other reason why we get lovesick is due to the fact that our mind, body and soul is incomplete. We have given part, half or all of our heart and soul to the love of our life to keep. Therefore, when we do not get to see them as often as we like, we feel ill. We feel sick. Because we feel empty, hollow, we are desparately trying to seal the large gaping hole but failing horribly.
Which is why, I would advise all people to guard their hearts carefully, be sure of the person you love before you hand over your heart in a silver platter. No one could protect your heart except you, and the person you trust your heart with.
Beware.
But please do not be afraid to LOVE.
For to be able to bask in the power and magic of true love, it is worth the chances to get hurt.
However, do have faith in the phrase
“Be worthy of love, and love will come.”
