Loving the visually impaired.

i have been with the company of a team who are visually impaired. for a long time they taught me how to read and write their language and also how to accompany them and be their guide. . .that was only everytime they visit us few years ago. . .now i am accompanying them most of the time. . .6 of them whom they are really loved by all. . .

you could see that they are not frustrated that they cannot see. . .they accept it that it was a blessing from God and that it serves a great purpose for them. . .they don’t act actually that they are blind. . .

ok so let’s just call them the ex-sighted. . .since they call us sighted, it is also better to call them ex-sighted

what is it with them that we could see we should love them more?

1. 80% of what they could do and see are already removed from them. . .they cannot be left anywhere without any guide or if they are not familiar of the place, they cannot see what is happening and what they imagine could be really different based from us who could see. .

i’ve tried playing dominoes with them before. . .when i left them and all was left of the game was that all lines were all not arranged. . .they just asked me, to fix it that it may be alright with them and for the sighted people if ever they saw them. . .

2. if you don’t know how to guide them, they are willing to teach you, how you serve the food, how you walk with them and guiding them, how you describe such things to them and how they could imagine. . .

3. major strength is of feel and of hearing. . .to train them of touch and of hearing. . .small voices and sounds. . .simple things unknown to the sighted. . .they could all explain it. . .they love touching things to know what it looks like.  . .and yes. . .they know if you are looking at them in the nice way or in a bad way. . .

4. jokes isn’t of major matter. . .they are to be comforted yet when they have accepted the fact, they know and understood very well. . .don’t go beyond the  line and let it be in just the right boundaries. . .

5. ask them questions about their situation. . .it’s alright to ask. . .it only means one thing to them, you are curious on their living. . .remember they are living in the same world as ours but not living the same life of the sighted. . .
