I had just gotten out of a painful, heartbreaking relationship. School started just 2 weeks ago and I was feeling lonely. I met a boy that was my age, Adrian, and thought he was really cute. As soon as I could, I took the opportunity to ask him out before someone else did.

I wasn’t sure what he would say, but at the same time, I was positive he would say yes. I just had one of those feelings. So, Monday morning on September 21st, 2009, I asked him out as we were switching classes. We were only 14 and Freshmen.

I remember his reaction exactly. He got a weird expression on his face and said, “Sure?”

The next few days, we were kind of awkward around each other, but I liked it. Then, we kissed. It was the best kiss I’d ever recieved.

We’re 16 now, and our relationship has lasted almost 2 and a half years. We have gone through a lot together, and been to Epcot. Also, he was my guy at my quinceañera. I love him to death, and I hope that never changes.s
