Who knows why it’s raining so much here in Chicago.  But it certainly is.  What we thought was a beautiful, used-to-be typical rainy April has overlapped into May.  This May set a record for rain.  Not only that, America has been experiencing some of the worst Natural Disasters (weather related) than in recent history.  A perfect example is the Joplin, Missouri disaster that followed the Tennessee and Mississippi ones.   What can we say?

Is it the Mighty Hand of God that does this?  Can we tout that these are the last days?  The truth is that whomever you refer to  as your God has the answer to that.  Not man.  However, from the my religious standpoint, the last days or the coming of the Rapture seems to describe similar occurrences in the last days.  Life is certainly strange, bewildering, fascinating and uncertain.  I personally don’t believe that the world will cease in my lifetime.  The world is old and over the billions of years there have been many weather and earth related disasters.  But this Glorious Being that I refer to as God, has had His hand in the universe from the very beginning, because in the Beginning, He created heaven and earth. 

People cry and whine about typical weather like rain and snow.  When you listen, you realized how silly it is to do so.  All you can do is talk about such weather conditions, you cannot change it.  But what you can do is get involved in some type of Green Effort to get the earth just a little bit more in line with how it should be.  Recycling has been proved to bring some normalcy back.  Stop buying plastic, a substance that lasts forever, like a diamond, can be avoided.  Think of everything that you use paper-wise as recyclable too.  Get back to carpooling if it’s possible in your community.  Man has done things to the earth, though unintentional, that seems to choke the life out of it. 

We can talk about the weather but we can change our environment to a great extent.  As long as we believe in ourselves and pray to our God for His real promises and why He blessed us with this beautiful, one-of-a-kind planet, superior to others. And wait for the beautiful flowers and plants that are coming after this rainy season!  Peace.
