Sleeping during important meetings no longer be number one on the list of the most shameful behavior in the office. According to the survey, the most embarrassing mistakes now is to call your boss to call ‘father’ or ‘mother’.

Inadvertently summon the boss as the ‘mother’ or ‘father’ is the most embarrassing social faux pas in the workplace, according to a recent survey in Britain. The survey was conducted on about 3,000 workers by the provider of vocational education Home Learning College. Also revealed that men were more likely to make this embarrassing mistake than women.

Another embarrassing mistakes at the top of the list is to send e-mails containing unprofessional thing to the wrong person.

Interestingly, there are 9 percent of men caught in an inappropriate situation with a colleague at an office party. For women, there were only 6 percent.

“During the works, we may be having at least one inappropriate thing that makes us feel ashamed. But, hopefully not one of the embarrassing things over,” said a spokesman for Home Learning College, Dave Snow
