An overall view of the fastest electrical bike with specs and key components to the bikes perfomence and capability.

As of June 2010 the new electric power motorcycle, MotoCzysz E1pc, officially became the fastest bike to date. Its recognition was firmly established in June’s 37.7 mile Isle of Man TT Zero race, which is the toughest motorcycle race in the world participating in the electric vehicle class. It set its record with an average speed record of 96 mph during Isle of Man TT Zero.

With the base designer and engineer Michael Czysz, and built by a Portland Oregon one advanced machine has been built. The MotoCzysz E1pc has a total of 10 times the battery capacity of a Toyota Prius and 2.5 times the torque of a Ducati 1198. The battery of `the E1pc stores up to 12.5 kilowatt per hour of electricity and in the past have turned an errant wrench into molten metal. While the E1pc is still able to turn an errant wrench into molten metal, Czysz designed a wireless carriage that allows the individual battery components to be swapped out in seconds, at the same time making the MotoCzysz E1 pc safe to work on.

The MotorCzysz E1pc is equipped with advanced aerodynamics minimizing wind resistance, and reducing aerodynamic drag. A specialized oil cooled motor, installed on the electric motor, which allows peak torque to be created for longer amounts of time. This is because unlike common air cooled motors, which overheat only after a few seconds at peak power, the E1pc’s peak power is 250 pound/ feet torque. A fixed gear takes the place of an absent transmission because of the purpose that the gear provides when decelerating. Because the gear is used when the E1pc is decelerating the motor applies resistance to the gear resulting the providing of regenerative braking.

The amazing MotorCzysze E1pc is capable of accelerating from zero to 120 mph in about seven seconds with its total of ten batteries and three gears powering it to make it set the record of the fastest bike with an averaging speed of 96 mph.
