A few weeks ago, the brainchild of penning ten-word compositions was conceptualized by my ever active mind. So I started to write a few pieces almost everyday. And before I realized it, my collection of ten-word compositions has considerably grown, that I decided to compile it and share it with you.

This unique literary collection, penned over the past few weeks, reflects a wide spectrum of colorful and interesting facts as viewed from my own inconspicuous stand point – a myriad of emotions, a mosaic of ideas, a tapestry of thoughts, and a kaleidoscope of experiences, all these are blended together in effecting a fascinating and vibrant portrait of life, love, marriage, people, faith, friendship, and nature. So here it goes and hope you will like it.

Life

  • A celebration of life – seasons, nature, laughter, marriage, and children
  • Life goes on – powered by love, and fueled by hope.
  • Endless rivers of hope run through wide valleys of despair.
  • Sunrise. Daylight. Toils. Leisure. Sunset. Nighttime. Rest. Sleep. Dream.
  • A myriad of faces reflects the various facets of life.
  • The cycle of life – conception, birth, growth, maturity, death, rebirth

Love

I looked into his eyes and found true love forever.
My mind’s irrevocably convinced my heart to love you forever.
Love conquers all – fear, unbelief, sorrow, despair, hatred, and indifference.
Loving. Rejoicing. Losing. Crying. Grieving. Withdrawing. Healing. Hoping. Loving again.
Love fills the hearts of those willing to bury themselves.
Love came knocking on her door one rainy April morn.
Along the highways of friendship the avenue of love emerges.

Marriage

We held hands, kissed, and vowed to stay true forever.
We met, fell in love, got married, and had children.
I came. You came. Love sparked. Promises made. Vows taken.
Basic elements of marriage – friendship, acceptance, harmony, love, and devotion

People

People come and go, leaving behind a legacy of adventures
Many different faces are floating in my memory of places.
A father gazed at his newborn, and saw himself reborn.
My mother’s eyes reveal it all – love, joy, empathy, compassion.

Faith

God made the universe, created life, authored faith, designed salvation.
Walking with God. Living in faith. Waiting for His return.
God found me, saved me, and offered me eternal life.
God created the universe, designed Mother nature, gave us life.
Faith inspires me to conquer ambivalence and triumph over indifference.

Friendship

Friendship is a seed that germinates in the garden of love.
Friends make my life complete. They complement my whole being.
Friendship was designed to make life on earth easier.
Meeting people. Making friends. Exchanging stories. Sharing lives. Saying goodbyes.
Secrets revealed. Laughter shared. Burdens unloaded. Tears shed. Friendship sealed.

Nature

Sun shining, flowers blooming, birds singing, children dancing – wonderful world.
Summer, warmth; Fall, complacency; Winter, coldness; Spring, revival – a cycle
Streams have dried up. Land is parched. Draught has settled.
Wild flowers bloomed in the fields – what a panoramic experience!
The beach – a wonderful place for journeys down memory lane
Majestic mountains tower grandly over valleys sprinkled with lush vegetation.
A rainbow peeps under the clouds – God’s eternal promise revealed.

Melody, you are very good at capturing emotions with few words. Have you ever considered lending your talents to writing verse for greeting cards?
