A vignette about my first job.

My first paying job was in the school cafeteria in high school. I had had previous experience by volunteering to work in the cafeteria in middle school. I thought it was fun and easy. By volunteering, I got free lunch. So in high school, when I was sick of bringing my lunch because I could not afford to buy it everyday, I asked if I could work in the cafeteria. At first I thought all I was getting was free lunch, which was what I wanted. However, I later found out that I would get free lunch in addition to getting paid. It was a good deal. So, I work for ten to fifteen minutes and get free lunch as well as half an hour’s worth of minimum wage everyday. I love my job. It is very easy. All I do is stand there, put the chicken nuggets (or chicken sandwich) on the plate, put fries on the plate, and hand it to the student. It is a very good first job. However, I will need to get another job soon. A job where I work more hours a week, therefore getting paid more.
