They are small and fast. I am sure they are very useful around the house, but they give me the creeps.

These little reptiles really gives me the creeps. I have this unreasonable fear of them. They are smaller then I, but the fear it generates in me, is great.

My heart pounds when I heard it “chuckling” somewhere in the house. And when I open a cupboard door, sometimes it clings there for a split second before it disappears into the dark recess. Then every time I see a shadow at the corner of my eye, my heart jumps up my throat as my unreasonable fear for these pale creatures accelerates.

I remember when I was a young girl of 10 years, I had pulled open a drawer in the kitchen to take out a spoon, a fat, pale looking lizard leaped on my bear leg. Can you imagine the shriek I let loose! My parents must have had a fright! My heart must have missed a couple of beats as well.

Oh there have been experiences of finding dead lizards and all that was left was their skeleton, that too gives me the creeps! But the worst is when someone is trying to capture them and they drop their tail My goodness! Then there are two parts to capture, the lizard and the jumping tail!! In fact, typing this article is making me feel jittery.

There is a residential lizard that lives behind this computer!! Every evening when I use this computer, I can see the speedy Gonzales making his moves. There’s another lizard family, I swear, that lives in my kitchen. They come is different sizes and colours, some are dark coloured and some are pale! They seem to have an instinct to know that I fear them, thus they are around me more often then not!

The Chinese have this saying that, if there are more lizards in the house, it means there is going to be more money coming in the house! Well, if they are right about it, then I should be closing in some money making deals soon!
