A love of reading.

I’ve just left the bookstore.  My wallet a little thinner, I however, filled with excitement and anticipation.  I love getting a new book.  I just get so much pleasure from taking in a storyline and engaging with the characters.  Call me a geek or a nerd, I’m OK with that, but it’s a thrill for me, an adrenaline rush of sorts.  OK, so maybe you think I’m crazy but I get a lot out of reading.  I love to read.  To me it’s both relaxing and therapeutic.  I can the world for a little while and transcend myself into the world of my story and its characters.  A good bookcan keep my attention for often longer then it should but that’s half the fun.  A book I struggle with is often a challenge I choose to take on.  Should I continue to devote time to it, or let it go?  I’m fortunate to not have to make that choice often, but it happens.  I have several favorite authors like Jodi Picoult, Nicholas Sparks and James Patterson.

Whenever you choose to read, it can give you a great deal of enjoyment and maybe even teach you a thing or two.  Next time you have a few extra minutes to spare, reach a good book instead of the remote control.  Do it, you won’t regret it!
