Beginning on the 19th of May 2010, I got into the Triond world. I’ve written 31 articles (as of the 8th of August at noon). I thought I should do an audit of my writing as compared to the earnings. I hope that this will be beneficial to you, as it is to me.

TRIOND EARNINGS ANALYSIS

Below is my earning history by category:

Going by the above analysis, weight management takes the day. In other words, despite the low number of articles on this subject, both the views and the earnings are high. It is incredible that I’ve earned the most in this category, despite the very low number of articles!

Football commentaries come second. With only two articles on this subject, this is the category that has earned me the second highest amount.

Football fiction, with 16 articles, has earned me only $.02. I have no regrets. This is because I’ve enjoyed writing these articles much more than any other article.

If my motive was to maximize my profits, then I would concentrate on where the rate of earnings is highest. I would therefore write more on weight management, football commentaries, fun with Bible facts, parenting tips, financial management tips, among others.

It appears to me as though the highest earning articles are the articles that can directly benefit readers. Football fiction does not benefit anyone in any way, unless he or she is a very good football fan.

That brings me to a few tips regarding paying topics that might enable you realize higher earnings from your writing:

1. Write on topics that will benefit as many people as possible, for instance, weight management. Millions of people worldwide have the problem of obesity. Potentially, you are likely to help millions of people with the problem of obesity, if you write on weight management.
2. Write on topics of interest. Football is the number one sport in the world.  Articles on football, especially commentaries, will elicit a lot of interest from readers.
3. Write on financial management. Debt is one of the top problems in the world. Millions are in debt bondage, especially owing to the issue of credit-cards. No doubt, they’d like to know how to get out of debt. An article titled “How to get out of Debt” will be read by many.
4. Christianity is the number one religion in the world. An article titled “Bible Quizzes” will be read by many, both young and old. Another possible title is “Enjoy while Learning Biblical Principles”.
5. Sexuality is another high-interest area. “How to Improve your Sex-Life” will sell quite well.
6. Parenting is quite challenging, and many a parent is having countless challenges on how to help their children be well-adjusted, well-behaved, successful adults in future. A topic like “How to Handle Sibling Rivalry” will be read by millions, owing to the massive challenges involved in getting siblings to live harmoniously without rivalry getting the better of them.
