This was basically…kinda…well yeah it was an assignment for English class. Don’t judge me! X3 Oh and also this is Non-Fiction! XP.
My heart was bursting, my breath labored, I was positive I was gonna die. Then I looked away and remembered how to breathe. I couldn’t believe I was still this affected. Surely this was the work of the devil. No one could be this perfect, it was humanly impossible. Yet, living proof was standing less than 30 feet away from me. Just his presence sent my heart beat into a flurry. This–This boy was surely a god in disguise. No one could be this perfect!
Climbing off the buss, I smiled to myself. This school was an okay place, if you got over the fact that all the teachers treated the Freshman liked kindergartners. I took a deep breath and walkedinside, heading towards the Commons. Today was my second day of high school and the amazement was still lingering.
”Hey Kailyn!” I looked up at the sound of my name and smiled at my cousin, Demetria as she dropped her backpack on the empty table. I followed her lead andwe bothgotin line for breakfast. So far the only middle school friends I’d been able to find were Crisha, Emilee, and Danielle.
I grabbed a poppy seed muffin off the rack and a carton of milk from the cooler-thing. Paying for them was a a snap since I got free breakfast and lunch. “Come on Demetria. Pick up the pace,” I teased as she got a fork for her cinnamon roll. She stuck her tongue out at me and we laughed. “You two are so slow!!!!” Emilee was standing beside our table with Crisha. I hugged them both and we all sat down.
Time flew by, though it really wasn’t a long period of time honestly, and the bell rang, signaling that it was time for 1st period. I had English with Ms. Shine, and it was a cool class, though we were only going through rules again today.
I slid into my seat on time. I couldn’t remember who my table partners were so I didn’t try to join their conversation. I wasn’t much of a people person anyway. The rest of class came and went. 55 minutes of pure boredom and listening to how some girl’s blonde hair looked like it was spray-painted on.
2nd, 3rd, and 4thperiod flashed ahead of me. Orchestra with Mr. Dyvig, Physical Science with Mr. Mickelson; who was also my brother’s football coach; and lastly Pre-Algebra with Ms. Young. I liked her. She was patient and nice, even when the class acted like a bunch of monkeys.
