What to do and what not to do.

Me being me, I have lived a life that no one can live. I have learned plenty of life lessons in some very hard ways. Through my 17 years on Earth, here is what I have to offer to you.

New Year Resolution

New Years resolutions may seem like a good thing to do. It is far from good. Only a mere 12% of people actually follow through on their resolutions and the other 88% of people just will feel upset about not reaching their goal. I have never made a resolution therefore I have never been upset about not accomplishing one.

Do not be anti-social

Do not be a hermit. There is a reason the Almighty did not give us shells. The reason being is life is short, you have only 70 years to do everything you can. Wasting it on the couch with no one with you is not what you should be doing. If you do live alone, pick up a hobby. You’d be surprised to find the number of people out there that have the same interests as you.

Stay Fit

Work out; stay fit. There will always be the prejudice people out there. My girlfriend will not befriend an overweight person and she will think down on them. I don’t blame her. I think obesity is gross, my opinion of course. I am not saying turn into the next Michael Phelps and crank out 60 miles a week in the pool, but go on a small jog every now and then. This tags along with getting a hobby; start a running group with some of your friends.

Life each day like it is your last

Motto of my life. If you can’t go to sleep every night with a smile on your face, you are doing something wrong. Try something new, learn something new, be a new person each day. You never know when disaster could strike.

This is a perfect video for what I have to say. I hope your year of 2010 goes well.

I definitely need to get fit! I put on so many pounds over the last year it’s unreal. But these tips are simple yet basic and yeah, go to sleep with a smile and it will leave you fresh and happy in the morning. This is the holy grail of a happy new year, methinks :)

Great message. Working out consistently is a plus. Don’t be a hermit. This is interesting. Sometimes, when you are too friendly with people, then it is also a problem because they want to know too many details about your life and also disrespect can happen. So yes, it is important to relate to others, but keep them at a distant until you can trust them a little. And sometimes, people that you thought you could trust, betray you. Last night I saw an ad on tv that read that only 75% of people actually follow through with their goals.

Careful there my fellow worldlander, some orientations of personality are natural hermits who quietly contribute to the world in their own uniquely choosen ways. Not everyone can be the extrovert that you may be. And to be alone does not necessarily equate with being lonely.
