Family Road Trip
Another scream from the restless little child that was kicking and jumping in his seat ; it was three hours that he was inside of the car and he wanted out. Mother kept telling him to take a nap but he didn’t want to, so like most frustrated parents do, they stopped at a gas station and let him walk around to stretch and grab some snacks. Finally the small, but bossy child opened the back door and crawled inside with great reluctance asking his parents “How long will it be ‘til we get there?” After looking outside on the road and watching nothing but buildings after buildings, the child fell fast asleep.
“Chase, wake up, were here…” The sleepy child got up in enjoyment and lost his sleepy trail and was filled with excitement. He was amazed by the sign that said DISNEYLAND. “HURRY I WANT TO RIDE ALL THE RIDES TODAY! LET’S GO!! HURRY” he said. The mother whispered something to the child which resulted in a frown. He had been waiting and waiting and waiting for this moment, just to hear that they had to get settled in to their hotel before the excitement of riding the rides could begin. During the time of when Mother and Father were checking in, the child became impatient and began to walk around. Curious as he was, he found a souvenir shop and started looking around. There were a lot of things: snow globes, key chains, and sweaters with Disney characters embellished on them. There was so many cool things there and he wanted something; he went over to the cashier and asked for the price of the snow globe. “$35.50,” said the tired-looking man behind the counter. The child became disappointed and walked away. “Chase, let’s go,” he heard.
Finally they went to the hotel room and it looked amazing! There was a flat screen TV, a huge bathroom, and 2 huge king size beds. Since there were four in the family, they split up. Two family members got one and the other two got the other bed. “Can we go on the rides now?” the child said with tiredness on his expression for the hundredth time. Let’s take a nap and then we’ll go, Ok?” suggested his mother. Before she ended her sentence, the child fell asleep. The child woke up and looked at the clock; 8:30 the bright green letters on the clock blinked. He jumped out of the comfortable bed and woke up his parents and younger brother “TIME TO GO!!” Groans were made, but finally the parents got out of bed, put on a coat and went to Disney World.
