The political ideology I have chosen is on Nazism. This ideology has a lot of the same characteristics or traits a Nazis would have had. I have chosen Nazism because at first I didn’t know what it was, it also is not that common and spoken of now a days. As I hope you have already guessed, Nazism is connected with the Holocaust and Adolf Hitler. I myself, am not to fond of Hitler and the subject of the Holocaust, because first of all I think the things Hitler did to the people in the Holocaust was horrible. Although the subject of the Holocaust is becoming more open, I guess you could say, with all the movies and novels. For me personally it was kind of disturbing to read up on and find out a lot about the background and ideas.

            Nazism is basically Hitler’s ideology, his way of thinking, which is part of the reason why the ideology believes in a “perfect race”. This perfect race, otherwise known as the superior group is made up of, White, Germanic, Nordic and Aryan (who was considered the most superior). The ideology was also very strongly for Anti-Semitism: discrimination against Jewish peoples, from this you can basically tell the ideology was very racist. Hitler’s ideology had three main thoughts: a conception of history as a race struggle influenced by Social Darwinism; Anti-Semitism; and the idea that Germany needed to acquire land from Russia. As for the political values the members stood for: strength; passion; lack of hypocrisy; utilitarianism; traditional family values; devotion to

your community; and defense of Blood and Soil (represented the red and black on Nazis flag). Nazism is also considered or rather related to fascism. Both of these ideologies reject democracy.
