Birthright.

Author’s Note: I needed a break from the Gan Eden universe and A Ring of Stars. Being unemployed again grants me more time, which means my mind comes up with more stuff. While based somewhat on the Dr. Light story line I had and others this is rather different in scope and I guess it deals with issues I love dealing with. Enjoy it anyway.

Floating holographic rectangle hangs in the air, yellow in color the news anchor looked bland. These holographic rectangles appeared at planned locations so the mass of the populace of New Genesis could see what was happening. The female news anchor wore a white blouse and a red jacket. The holographic screen displayed the famous name of Lindsay Highcourt. Her voice was bland and boring, hearing it everyday was a chore for some, for others it was just more background noise inside the new capital of Earth Colony: New Earth. Not very creative but old earth, new earth what was the difference? Floating cars, laser guns, advanced A.I. People having cyborg parts either for improved strength or just for style.

The news report blared through the morning crowd, some walking some in their flying cars or taxis, or even public transport. “Today the debate over the registration of Homo Ultimate again hit a high note with Senator Richard Furgus strongly in favor of the registration act. The common name used by most for Homo Ultimate is Ultra Humans. These Ultra Humans are born with unique abilities some are even said to be able to control our minds. The cause of this sudden giant leap in mutation is attributed by expert in the feild Dr. David Elliot to a local virus our ancestors from Old Earth (O.E) were not aware of when they terra formed this planet. Senator Furgus argues these ‘creatures must be registered and guided to use their ‘abilites’ for the welfare of the state. However many are against such an act saying it would cause discrimination. The Senator suggested a pilot act for New Genesis our beloved city and capital. It passed by three votes, so beginning next week a small pilot registration of Ultra Humans will begin…’

Brent Connor sat in his college class daydreaming, of a better life, joining the space cadets and exploring space.

‘Tomorrow we will have a class discussion on Ultra Humans.’ The android instructor said.

The class groaned.

‘not again, what is with these poloticians, they want everyone to weigh in on this.’ One student complained.

‘I say they should all be hunted down and killed, these Ultra Humans are not humans at all, they are abominations.’ A girl  said.

‘Then you should die with them, you have altered boobs.’ A jock with a cyber throwing arm laughed.

‘That’s different I was born human and chose to inhance myself just as you did, these people are freaks. They are born with abilities far beyond what even technology can do.’

‘I heard a few can control your mind.’ Another joked.

‘Maybe your mind needs controling.’

Brent kept staring through the window such a matter did not intrest him, he was no Ultra Human and the topic did not intrest him. He was not for nor against.

Just then a silver haired boy walked into the class late as usual. His baggy, black leather jacket and silver eyes. Blue, long jeans and sneakers. Stephon Silverman, ultra human.

:) It’s things like this that sometimes make me wonder if we really understand your personality type at all. I’ve never heard of an INFJ Protector being so scattered in his or her creativity – or having the relative lack of precision in its production. Both are more characteristic of ENFP Inspirers like me. I have to work both on my project focus and on my verbal discipline – don’t let my developed skills in either fool you on that!

I wish you’d stick with a project and bring it to real fulfillment. This one has REAL PROMISE, Jason, as a concept. Of course you may be taking the approach of an artist who does many sketches of many things in order to hone his craft – surely, as much an INFJ approach as any. But still I wonder sometimes…

In any case, I LIKE this. A LOT.
