This is what too many people believe the news of the future to sound like, Doom and Gloom. People are convinced that our grandchildren will grow up in an unstable post-apocalyptic privacy deprived world where even the good news is bad.

Is this really what the future holds in store for us?

I cannot be a 100% sure, but this sounds a wee bit pessimistic to me. My glass might be half full and the world might end up like this but that just a theory not fact.

So why do people blindly accept the future of the earth is the embodiment of the chaos theory?

Take Global warming, climate change, enhanced greenhouse effect, whatever you want to call it. Almost everybody blindly accepts that the theory behind it is flawless and something all scientist agree on.

This could not be further from the truth.There is as much evidence to suggest that we are going through a natural climate cycle that we can barley influence and there is even research that suggest that the average temperature on earth is declining and not rising.

Why don’t we hear about this research then?

The simple answer is Fear. People like Al Gore want us to fear Global warming. Why? Because with fear comes power.

This is an ancient psychological technique used by people ranging from the insurance salesman to politicians.

Take away the fear for a disastrous future and replace it with the belief that we can influence the direction our future is headed in, and what are you left with?

That’s right an inconvenient truth for people like Al Gore.

You might argue that these people are helping us to create a brighter future for our grandchildren by striking fear into our hearts and forcing us to “change”.

We don’t want these people to help us change our ways, he only thing they are looking out for is a bright future for their grandchildren, not yours or mine. They sell us tree’s to reduce our “carbon footprint” or to appease our conscience by making us buy a Prius’, and to add insult to injury call it “change”.

If issues like climate change turn out to be real, than a little tree in the garden or a hybrid-car are not going to save us.

Don’t get me wrong change is needed if not because of climate change, than because of issues like the rapid decline in supplies of drinking water and fossil fuels. But pointing the finger and making yourself believe that chucking money at propagandists and self proclaimed “guru’s” is not going to solve the problem.

What we need to do is stop speculating about the future and truly change our ways. We should not focus on the news of tomorrow but on the news of today. 

And today’s headlines say, “The time for change is here, the future is in our hands!”
