It may be surprising to some people or everyone, for such an impractical thing to be written about, but the truth remains the truth.

           Now, let us discuss the assertion. You can never fuse with something completely to become one, even though in the English language, we say something has fused with another to become one. Using an electron microscope to visualize the fused compounds, we realize there is a gap, though small, between the molecules. Thus fusion occurs only partly . This is because there will be repulsion between the two molecules, which brings back the assertion that no one has ever touched another person or object, meaning we only feel somebody or something.

        Let’s take an example of two objects, A and B, to explain this better. When object A and B are far away, their net attractive force due to their interaction is zero(0). As they are brought closer, they begin to attract each other when the radius is greater than the equilibrium separation, i.e r=ron and F=0 . Then when brought closer again, the attractive force becomes less than the repulsive force meaning that there is a net repulsive force where r and F0. This pushes the molecules of objects A and B apart, thus making it unable for the two objects to touch each other. That is why no one is able to touch another person or object. With our minds, we think we are touching someone or something because we are feeling the person or thing, this is because of the stimulation of receptors producing impulses which are sent to their target organs. The receptors receive stimulation due to the presence of fields. Also, because of their repulsive and attractive force we are able to grip things and keep everything with a steady shape. Without such a phenomenon, nothing will be independent and no object will be unique.

     So if you try to imagine what the earth will look like if this forces were not existing, let me help you; nothing will ever be unique, stable and easy to understand especially coming to chemistry which studies such structures, it will be complicated.
