Exploring the fact that just because someone breaks up with you and decides to "give" your heart back doesn’t mean that you would be willing to accept it.
You can not return my heart!
You have lost the receipt.
You still can’t give it back.
It’s condition is no longer neat.
Just look at it for a moment.
It is disorganized and broken.
Did someone cry over it?
It is dripping wet and soaking.
Can’t return it in this condition!
It’s all ripped to pieces and torn.
Did you get a lot of use from it?
It looks dilapidated and worn.
Yet it looks neglected and has dust.
Have you put it away on a shelf?
Somewhere out of sight; out of mind?
Where it won’t remind you of myself?
What all have you done to this heart?
I gave it to you in mint condition.
And you return it to me this way?
Beyond the point of recognition?
I can’t make a resale on this heart!
It is far to damaged and vandalized.
No one would want this after you.
It’s been far too abused and victimized.
I gave this to you, for you to have.
Just because you no longer have use,
You can not just disregard this heart.
You can not just send it through abuse.
You can’t expect me to take it back.
I gave this to you, for you to have.
So keep it! It is still yours! It’s a fact!
Throw it away if you can’t use it.
But I do not want it back!
