Ever wonder why everything that happens to you in life never comes easy?

Growing up I often wondered why everything in my life never came easy. I mean I didn’t wish for things to be handed to me without work but why would it also apply to the simple things in life. Here are some examples of what I’m talking about….

  • If I found money on the ground, I’d lose some the next day.
  • I lost many good friends due to tragedy.
  • I chose to hold back my feelings not to hurt anyone and I’d pay the price in the end.

I can only conclude that some people on this earth are constantly put in check. Life shouldn’t be handed to you but rather appreciate what you have. Work hard for the reward. Everything is a reward. If you have a restless night sleep, your reward is actually waking up alive the next day.

Recently, I’ve been confused about relationships. I’ve been in one for quite some time. I chose to hold in all of my feelings and now I’m paying that price. As much as that’s self inflicted, I also believe that I would have found other things that I would have struggled with and paid the price some other way. I really feel that most stress and pressure that is placed on us by our daily lives, are really there because of our reaction to it. I mean, getting older should tell you to learn from the past. Anticipate that stress and pressure and expect it. Once it surfaces, you shouldn’t be surprised. Then perhaps you can react to it differently than placing it all on your shoulders.

I think from this day forward, I’m going to believe that it’s inevitable that nothing will come easy. I will embrace that and appreciate the little things in life a little more. If I do get lucky for some reason, I will pay it forward to someone else. Besides, luck doesn’t belong to me but, I’ll appreciate it and pass it on.

I don’t know why I’m writing this but, it kind of feels good to write out my crazy thoughts that continue to build. Maybe writing can relieve some of the pressure I out on myself.

Thanks for reading.
