Let’s say the following statements are true:

1. Osama Bin Laden was the mastermind of the 9/11 disaster. 

2. Osama was killed by American soldiers on May 1, 2011 under the order of Obama.

Now, the questions are these:

1. If killing Osama is a triumph, is it a credit to Obama? Why or why not?

2. Should Americans blatantly rejoice over Osama’s death?

3. Now that Osama’s dead, is the world (or America) guaranteed free from terrorism?

Commonly believed theories:

1. Osama has trained and educated proteges who will continue the “legacy” he has left.

2. Osama’s followers are infuriated by the killing of their unarmed leader, which may result to revenge.

Americans Rejoice Over Osama’s Death

The debate should not be focused on the justification of the killing of the unarmed Osama. What matters now is how should the world (or America) react to Osama’s death. 

Years back, Americans suffered and mourned a lot due to the 9/11 disaster. Muslims and Islams in America suffered a lot as well. Now, it is claimed that through the death of Osama, the lives taken by the 9/11 disaster were avenged. Is it proper for Americans to blatantly rejoice and show the whole world how glad they were that the dubbed top terrorist of the world was killed… and thanks to Obama?

Speaking of Obama, Tyra’s smart. She claimed that she is America’s Next Top Model. After retiring, she searched for her heir apparent. And she found a lot. Year after year, she keeps on looking for a protege. The search never stops. (So who really is the next top model, bee ach!) Tyra Banks is not blonde. Neither is she dumb.

And so is Osama. He is not blonde. And definitely not dumb. (Gee, that rhymes with bomb). He surely have searced for Al Qaeda’s Next Top Terrorist, only untelevised. (And probably, the eliminated candidates were shot to death. OSAMA: Two terrific terrorists stand before me. But I only have 1 bullet in my gun. And this bullet will end the life of who is no longer in the running to becoming Al Qaeda’s Next Top Terrorist.) But we hope that the winners will never achieve even half of what Osama has accomplised, just like Tyra Banks’ top models. (The show should’ve been called Tyra Banks’ Next Top Model, anyway.)

Muslims and Islams Mourn Over a Brother’s Death

While Americans are partying to celebrate Osama’s death and give thanks to Obama, Muslims and Islams mourn not because they are the dead man’s followers. These people still consider Osama their brother, although they do not necessarily support this beliefs and advocacy. 

So when these Muslims and Islams, who are not terrorists and even uphold anti-terrorism, mourn over Osama’s death, they are surely offended by the revelling of the Americans. And if they do, imagine the reaction of the Osama’s proteges in the Al Qaeda camps.

Revel or Rebel?

For those who still don’t get the point, let’s put it this way:

Imagine a Muslim or an Islam, who obviously looks like a Muslim or an Islam but is technically an American citizen, saying “Thanks Obama for killing Osama” on TV.  (That is like Tyra Banks saying, “Thanks Fashion Awards for giving me the Worst Dressed Award.)

The Bottom Line

If Osama Bin Laden is the totality of world terrorism, then, his death has ended terrorism in the world all at once.
