A few thoughts for today with pictures.

We are enjoying a temprature of 84 degrees today. We walked to the mail box and on to the creek. The water is up after the rains we have had of late but we are still short of water. No car washing or outside watering except vegetable gardens.

My sister and brother-in-law have their garden planted and it’s already coming up. They have a huge garden every year. My sister freezes, cans, and pickles. She is a real home maker. I admire her for all she does and I wish I were more like her.

The extent of my gardening ventures are sitting on my deck. Although I do have pots with basil, lettuce and tommy toes just planted. I might have a salad one day off my deck.

I do enjoy quilting. I made my first grandson a quilt while he was in Iraq for the second time time around and I made my next grandson one while he was there. Now I’m making a quilt for second grandson’s baby. He and his wife are at a hospital today awaiting the birth of Ariana Odethe. I’m waiting for news now.

This is just a few odds and ends of goings on at our house. I was too excited waiting for news of my first great grand child to do any kind of research.  Thank to all my friends for stopping by.

Ruby, great job. You have many talents.
Hope your grandson appreciates you. My nephew just joined the Marines and typically I’m not a worrier, but, you know…
You live in a beautiful area, thanks for sharing.

The picture of the creek is absolutely gorgeous, and I love the quilt. I’m a little envious, even, of the quilt. My sewing looks like a ten-year-old did it.

Thank you my friends for stopping by my place and for your wonderful comments. My grandson called me last night with the news that Ariana Odethe had made her appearance. She weighed 6 lb.7 oz. is 18 inches long and has red hair like her dad had when he was a baby. They had a room for the three of them and Al walked the floor with her most of the night.

Pam, the picture is of my sister and our niece and another niece in the background.
