Two middle school aged kids were recently thrown off the bus and suspended from school.  Their crime: farting on the bus.  The Canal Winchester kids were repeat offenders claims the school.  It caused a ruckus.  I graduated from school in 1993 and even then boys were farting on the bus and laughing about it.  It’s nothing new. 

   The school said it was an obscene gesture which violates the school’s code of conduct.  I believe that it is an obscene gesture all right, obscenely ridiculous.  The other kids giggled and put down their windows.  This is what the school calls a ruckus?  I do believe that they haven’t even begun to see a ruckus.

   The story has gained national attention, yet the school refuses to allow the boys to return to school.  They claim that they were right by suspending them.  I think that this whole thing just reeks of ignorance.
