The White House’s new “owner” is Barack Obama. His Wife, Michelle Obama, decided to plant a garden of vegetables at the White House. So Michelle Obama worked hard, along with about 25 fifth- graders from Bancroft. Some of the crops were to be donated to a nearby soup kitchen for the needy. The rest was used for meals. The fifth- graders would come back and help cook meals using the vegetables for the First Family. The First Lady wanted people to spread the message of healthy eating.
