Back in the 70″s, my friend and I would make Chinese jump rope because we didn’t have the money to buy it.

In the 70’s, my friend Linda and I didn’t have any chinese jump rope.  We went for a walk, searching for rubber bands along the side streets until we found enough to make one.  We sure did !

We would tie them all together to make a chinese jump rope.   We enjoyed it better than regular jump rope.  That was the good ole’ days !  In the 70’s !  Only in America !  Only in Tampa !

Nowadays you don’t hear about the young girls playing chinese jump rope.  What a shame !  Oh what ever happen to the simple, fun, good ole’ days ?

The 70’s…yes, absolutely! I loved to read when I was a youngster and would wait in anticipation for the bookmobile each week. Used to hang out in the front of my neighbor’s house for hours…talking, mostly about nothing.
