Once Upon a Time

            There was something about that day that I can never explain; it took me like forever to realize that for once in my life, I need to let go and be stronger for myself.

It was the break of dawn when I met you. The sun was half asleep, the moon shined on the brightest and I didn’t at all cared. I tried to sleep everything away, traveling with time on my hand.. I was going home..

You broke the silence. We talked like old friends.

I felt happy. You were smiling all the way. You got me to talk about everything; you took me from heaven and back;(heck! Couldn’t believe I fell into that trap!)…  I saw the way your eyes probed into mine. Flattered that I was, I dumped the tingling feeling, that fast beat, sudden thump of my heart.. there’s no way I could fall for a total stranger!

I could have lied and went my way but I didn’t… I lost control…

I fell madly in love.. my instincts were right.. there’s no other way I could’ve battled with what’s inside me all along..

The distance we have never hindered the growing bond we shared let alone the downpour of carefree affections and efforts from you.

We have two, different lives but built up one, strong fortress.. we leaned on no one but each other.. God was our witness. He was in the center of everything. We filled our days with kisses and “I do” lines. We even slept over reliving the first day we met every time..

            Maybe I was literally blinded by daylight when we first collided paths that you continually kept me mesmerized even after all these years. I was just a girl with simple dreams.

Who doesn’t want to have her “dream guy” fall in love with her? I’ll be a fool if I said NO…

I did. And my life was never the same. ..
