It’s obvious but in August a reminder doesn’t hurt. Cool it. Don’t lose it.
Murderers aren’t good. In fact, they’re extremely evil.
It’s August. It’s hot. People tend to become hot and react. People often become hot, angry, and violent. They shouldn’t. People should cool it.
To complicate matters, high sunspot activity warms things up, and this is the eleventh year of a sunspot cycle. The last one was in 2000 so 2011 may well be quite hot, even hotter than usual.
Domestic violence is often a problem. Family members get hot. They fight. Somebody kills somebody. Chances are it’s either murder, manslaughter, or self-defense. It’s still a terrible tragedy. Someone is dead.
In 90-degree weather, heat prostration often happens. People believe they can endure it but they often are mistaken. The best practice is to start cooling off in the morning and continue. Avoid midday heat. The South is extremely humid. Heat can be deceptive.
Cool water helps.
A five-year old child knows that murder is evil but pardon the reminder. There have been too many murders and killings this year, particularly in the United States. One is too many.
Skeptical readers should consider the following hideous list:
A young woman was killed at lunch.
Another woman was found dead in the Atlanta area.
A police deputy was shot and killed.
A young boy was murdered via a gunshot wound to the head.
A middle-aged man in a trailer park was shot to death.
A 72-year old woman was killed at a Post Office.
A Jewish child was murdered in New York.
A bicyclist died after being beaten. A man has been accused of murder because the victim later died at the hospital.
In Louisiana, a man killed his wife and then himself.
A person was found shot twice in the back.
Many states have been experiencing record heat. In the South, 100-degree temperatures happen. People underestimate the heat. They lose it.
It’s quite likely that Americans will experience more heat in August. In fact, it’s almost certain.
August will be hot.
Sports coaches should not demand too much from players. Tempers flare. Men start fighting and can’t stop.
In America, guns are prolific. Enraged people sometimes shoot other people. They need to cool it, not lose it.
Air conditioning is superb for cooling it. Ice works. Swimming pools are good. Cold bathtubs are nice. Cold drinking water helps. Ice cubes down the old shorts work, though some find this a bit excessive. Jacuzzis are helpful. Lakes are wonderful.
Murder should be quelled, killings too. If government is involved, government needs to get out of it. That should be obvious.
Anyone can put their head into a refrigerator or freezer for a while.
Readers should pardon excessive verbiage on the obvious. The point can’t be made well enough. Everyone should avoid becoming too hot and becoming destructive.
