It is hard to believe that in these days if technology that some people still do not know how to use a computer.
It is hard to believe in this day and age there are people who do not know how to use a computer, or even want to know how. Sometimes people are afraid they will mess up the computer or will get frustrated trying to use one. People take for granted that everybody knows how to use a computer.
Usually, most households have at least one computer. I know in some schools learning how to use a computer is a required subject. I think that is good. When I attended school computers were just becoming popular (they were the huge kind that took up a whole wall). My Father learned how to use the computer rather quickly.
He learns rather easy. Yet, I have acquaintances who don’t even know how to turn on a computer, let alone, browse the Internet or do any type of work on one. I have had my own computer for years and am still trying to figure things out on it. It is an odd feeling when my kids know about how to do certain things on it, yet I do not. It is of course what they have learned at a younger age because of the times.
Not knowing how to use a computer is a drawback if you are searching for a job. Most people are required to use some type of computer or know certain applications. So of course, people will hire the people that know at least the basics of certain programs and applications. They may be willing to learn how to use them yet do not have a chance to do so since there are so many others out there who do.
Sometimes there are people who have no desire to learn how to use a computer I am not saying that is an age thing just a preference.
