What was originally suppose to be a manga, I turned into a story for my old creative writing class. A story of a parent-less family of high school and junior high students who’s entire life is turned upside down when a corrupt military government unlocks the door way into the spirit world and unleashes great good, as well as unspeakable evil onto their town.
A loud howl pierced the midnight sky as a wolf chased its prey down the city street. A man with short brown hair dressed in a long black coat was running for his life, taking twist after turn into the depths of the concrete jungle trying to shake his pursuer. The man ended up taking a turn into a nearby alley way. It was a wrong turn. The alley was a dead end the man looked hopelessly at the giant wall that kept him from his escape. Suddenly his eyes widened with the sound of snarling and a voice.
“Well, well, well” the wolf that was chasing him stood up from his feral stance. He was shirtless and covered in dark grey fur, with loose blue jeans and a pair of sneakers whose tips had been torn open from the wolf’s long toenails. “Running away was a great idea, not only did it delay the inevitable, but I got my exercise for the day.”
The man found himself up against the wall; he was beginning to sweat as mixed feelings of terror and dread filled him to his very soul. The wolf only smiled as he approached the man slowly.
“But you know the dandiest thing happened as a result.” The wolf licked his chops then went along the length of his sharp teeth with his tongue. “I got hungry…”
The man the wolf had been chasing was wanted dead or alive, with a nice stack of money on his head. It made no difference how he was killed, or for what purpose, all that mattered was that in the end some kind of proof remained that he was dead. If the wolf left the head intact the rest would make for a nice dinner, or at least pre-dinner snack judging by his size.
“Now hold still so I can shred you!” The man let out a bone chilling scream before finally falling dead. The wolf stood mouth a gape staring at the snow white demonic creature that stole his meal.
