It’s all relative -Right?

Perspective is an aspect of life that is…very hard to describe.  Human beings are all so similar in terms of genetics and body structures and what not, but our perspectives, our values, our opinions…they are all different.

Its a very weird concept, if you think about it.  We are all the same, and we are all different.  Every person is unique, and yet we share about 99% of our DNA.  Just thinking about it can make you feel really small, in relation to…everything.  But, despite are similarities, people continue to rise above the masses.  Great inventors, great painters, great scientists…the list is endless.

Now, why do these people rise up?  Why is it not someone else?  I am a strong believer in destiny, just because it’s the only answer that really makes sense to me.  Some people are destined for greatness, while others are destined to be average.  Some people argue that people who are recognized in history, the real great ones, succeed because they have determination.  A strong will in the face of adversity.  And others argue that the unique experiences that these people have in their lives shapes their outlook, and therefore impact, on the world.

But, are the chances really that random?  Is it by pure coincidence that certain events happen, or is it pre-determined by something else.  Maybe the universe naturally favors some over others?  My mind just can’t accept that people become great because of chance.  There has to be something pulling the strings…right?  I’m really eager to hear what you guys have to say about this.
