A great article check it out great for everyone.
Rich people need to get noticed of course. The best way to do so is gather their rich friends and throw socialite parties in order to raise money for a “charitable organization” that they know nothing about. Not that I resent them, because in the end the money does end up doing good the world. What I resent is that these socialites throw these parties so they can spend even more money on gorgeous gowns and down all the champagne available at the ball. I, at one time loathed these balls and functions because again, I am poor. I now realize that if I wanted a drunken party in a pretty dress, I can just have one, right now if I wanted to. Philanthropy shouldn’t just be an excuse to throw a beautiful party. If a person is truly passionate about a cause, if someone truly wants to make a difference because they have a true and passionate reason to do so, they devote themselves and sometimes even their whole lives to help that situation. In the case of the rich, they are getting credit for throwing one stupid party. They don’t deserve it.
