My reaction to a couple of teenage girls with pink hair in the mall.

I was looking at the two girls in front of me in line at the food court.

I was looking at their hair. I don’t think the hair was it’s natural color.

It was pink.

The lady who waited on me was shocked. She said she would never let her children out of the house looking like that.

I had a more positive reaction. I liked the pink hair. I appreciated the fact that the girls were willing to express themselves in that way. They knew people like the lady behind the counter would judge them, but they did it anyway. That takes guts.

I appreciate people who are willing to be a little different, a little daring, push the envelope as the saying goes. I fancy myself to be a bit of a nonconformist, though I don’t have pink hair.

I enjoyed the young ladies with the pink hair. It brighened my day. Made it almost as bright as the pink hair.

that’s very nice, I don’t mind the hair, that can be fixed, but when I see tattoos all over a pretty girl or a handsome young man, it gives me the willies. I now how they will feel about it when they are 40 or 50 years old, and the junk is there on their skin for a lifetime.

Personally, I like it when people decide to dye their hair, as well. It shows individuality, though there are other ways to do so. I, too, am a bit turned off sometimes by tattoos, though there are some that just look great, no matter who the tattoo is on. I wouldn’t dye my hair, I like my natural color too much to change it, but I would never make fun of someone that has dyed their hair.
