Please Rob Me.

Please Rob Me is not the ad given by a multi-millionaire to try but it is the name of a site that has been developed to keep you aware of the harms of crucial information that you share with others through social networks and telling people of your absence from your home or work place so that they can easily intrude and rob you of whatever they choose or whatever you have to be robbed.

The Dutch site gathers its information from public feeds at tweets and foursquare, where players are tend to give away real locations through GPS.

Van Amstel one of the developers of the site has iterated that their intention was to realize people that how easily they could become a victim of sharing some crucial information through social networks. The site is able to tell people when you left your home and checked in some restaurant or shop.

The WHY tab on the site reveals that developers want to raise the awareness among masses and not to rob them. The danger is telling people where you are and that also
reveals that you are not at your home.

In the wake of NetWitness threaten us of the possible compromise of the networks at world level and now this Rob Me site. Today seems a threatening day for all of us who have become potato coaches while sitting against our computers and chatting and making fun and saying things that might of greater interest to someone else who want to rob us. So while feeling ourselves safe behind the virtual screens we are actually telling the world Please Rob Me.
