What is this world coming to?

The plight of the world is the same

A seeking of fortune and fame

Our world is not well

Spiraling straight to hell

With harrowing disasters

Slaves and masters

Not much has changed

Merely rearranged

Now revolving doors

And no wax floors

Then segregation

And the menacing plantation

The plight of the world strikes fear

In all that we hold dear

Will sin and crime

Follow us until the end of time?

Has devastation

Replaced dedication?

Will mankind evolve?

Or just dissolve

Love, family, recession

Tragedy, sadness and depression

Systems that tend to bind

Seekers who will not find

Battered and broken men

That mercy does not attend

The plight of the world should be a concern

Lest we all crash and burn
