Innocent as sheep is my shyness.
Pride, I-I wasn’t expecting you’ll visit this late
You look beautiful, sugar undressed in moonlight.
You must leave; I can’t imagine you’re here!
Heard I you sobering to yourself about me
Must you pester me now you cold man
Let my warmth in, I shall tender some love
Pride, be gone if a gentleman you say you are
And Lady in despair be left to her time?
This goodwill I see is for you want this!
Sugar, mock not the whistle of my heartstrings
You voyeur, I learnt of your other women
Passing fancy they’re, not you my nude jewel
Care I have left to nurse the pain
Make I it a shadow if you hold me in
Then leave outdoors these sensuous sympathies
Sugar, long left I have them for platonic feelings
I am shy to the world so bold
Cherish I you for made so tastefully coy
But I am afraid they take me for a snob!
And so your lips’ sweet notes only I can drink
Some days I come around with finesse
Then at the doorstep I keep waiting
But soon its hurtful when me they know
You then I savor till moon’s flight is over.
Whom I hello yesterday, ignore today
Its opera, sugar, life is low and at crescendo
This distant hostess I have become
Be mine and wear I will you in love
Pride…they think You keep me aloof
All lies when hours long I have never been with you
Kill you tonight I might still to be sure
Kill me with your kiss, lips be thy knife
Innocent as sheep is my shyness
Glad, sugar I am platonically you meet him.
Then if murder I you for just being sly
Crime, in question sugar, I’m not liable for
Sleep tonight then I’ll douse the light
Sleep together then, where to you move?
Pride, take the pillow I am going to change
And so loveless again goes tonight’s night
