One man’s opinion on a few current news topics.

Winter could be worst in 25 years for USA.

Gas Supplies running out in UK.

Elderly burn books for warmth.

Seoul buried in heaviest snowfall in 70 years.

Miami shivers from coldest weather in a decade.

Historic ice build-up shuts NJ nuclear power plant.

What do all of the above have in common?

These were some, not all, of the headlines in a recent version of the Drudge Report providing coverage of the cold weather affecting much of the globe this winter.

Starting with the cold front that gripped Europe during the Copenhagen Climate Calamity last fall, weather conditions in much of the world have continued to deteriorate. Not only have temperatures plummeted, snowfall in many areas have been at or above all-time records.

It is interesting, though not surprising, that while the mainstream media reports on the extreme weather there has been hardly a whisper to indicate that this trend is contrary to the gloom and doom scenarios the global warming proponents have been spouting at us for years.

There have been no further investigative reports looking into the e-mail scandal. These are the hundreds of messages swiped from an English university. The e-mails were written by scientists supporting global warming, showing that they have been cooking the books, playing fast and loose with weather data for years to portray a worldwide heating trend.

This all follows what many residents here in northern Michigan are calling a year without a summer.

But, not to worry, spring will come and once the sun is shining and the temperature heads north of seventy, the global warming crowd will be back. They’ll be offering an explanation of some kind saying that nothing has changed, the excessive cold was simply an anomaly caused by ongoing manmade warming. Their media friends will comply by reporting their words as gospel and ignoring what can’t be explained.

And yes, by the time the cherry trees are blossoming in DC, our president and other Liberals will be back to preaching that we need to further hamper our economy, lower our personal expectations, and, of course, pay more in taxes all to save the earth.
