In response to Toon Army to Blame for Relegation.

After reading your article about how Newcastle fans are to blame for the demise of the club, I felt there was too much to say to fit into the comment box.

First of all take your head out of Sam Allardyce’s crevice. He isn’t that great of manager and clearly wasn’t ready to take on a bigger club like Newcastle. Plus Allardyce was sacked the season before that and we were fine and appointed King Kev. Prime example here is Tottenham. They were in bottom 3 for the 1st few months last year therefore sacked Juande Ramos and they survived. It is exactly what we did but Mike Ashley forced King Kev out the club which is when it all went wrong. Mike Ashley is to blame the idiot he is. Joe Kinnear got off to a rocky start but then Newcastle started to find good form. Then what happens our manager needs a blinking heart bypass operation which then leaves a rookie manager (Shearer) little time to bond with the players and know which team to pick. It was an uphill struggle for him and I’d rather Chris Hughton was left as Caretaker for the rest of the year.

But what’s done is done and like you said we will have to adapt to life in the championship which will be a huge reality shock to a lot of our fans. But I’m confident if we can keep the majority of the current squad we will have no problem in getting promoted again. But that is the problem keeping players like Nolan,Steven Taylor,Gutiérrez,Duff,Colocinni and even Joey Barton. If Barton stays, there is no doubt in my mind he would be the best player in the league.
Come on the TOON.

P.S. May I ask are you a Mackem?
