A few reasons why not to marry a mechanic along with a few of the perks.

First of all, mechanics are dirty. They come home, touch the door nob, the walls, and whatever else might be in their path. The most disgusting thing is the shower. The walls always seem to be splattered with grease, oil, or whatever else they come home with. Therefore your duties as a wife are never complete. You are always scrubbing and cleaning up after their greasy mess.

Second, your car could be in desperate need of repairs, but guess what, your vehicle will be the last in the shop. The day he is supposed to get your vehicle in, his friend will call and need some repairs. It could even be a total stranger and your husband will say “But honey, I am getting paid for this.” As true as this may be, he sometimes forgets that he also gets paid by you. You cook, clean, take care of the children, and lets not forget about the bedroom duties. But yes ladies, this is the absolute truth.

Third, well, I can’t think of anything else.

There really are perks of having a mechanic for a husband. They make decent money, eventually get around to fixing your vehicle, not to mention the money that you save by not taking it to a garage.

I know this from experience. I am married to a mechanic, although the love of my life, he sure does cause a few problems.
