This flag that I have designed is to show the importance of getting along with each other, whether black or white.

I have designed this flag not only for indigenous Australians, but for all black people who are discriminated against. In the middle I have a photo of a dove, not only because of its importance of peace, but also its beauty and purity. A world of no racism and discrimination is a world of beauty and purity. The dove is an absolutely stunning creature that that brings warmth to all from its gaze of hope.

In the bottom left and right corners, I have added the Australian and Aboriginal flags. Flags on a flag is an interesting concept and seems insignificant, but when given a great deal of thought the two flags, side by side, shows the unity that we dream of.

I have put two other images on my flag. One, an Aboriginal playing a didgeridoo, which is quite self explanatory, but the other in the top left corner isn’t. It is obviously a photo of half a white man and half a black mans face. This has multiple meanings; one being “seeing through someone else’s eyes”.

But there are other meanings, hidden meanings, some closer to others hearts more than mine and everyone will see a completely different meaning to someone else.

By creating this flag I am hoping to spread awareness of what we need for a better world; a world where all races of human beings get along, in unity.
