COMMUNICATION STRATEGY AMONG TUN HUSSEIN MALAYSIA UNIVERSITY CIVIL ENGINEERING UNDERGRADUATE & THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH ORGANIZATION

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to identify the communication strategy among Tun Hussein Malaysia University civil engineering undergraduate and to see the level of their relationship with organization such as peers, lecturers and supporting staff.  The communication strategy includes aggressive, submissive, avoiding, assertive and motivated communication.  After the information is obtained, the relationship between communication strategy and the relationship between students and organization is identified.  The total sample for this research is 100 respondents which selected randomly among civil engineering undergraduate.  The instrument for this research is questionnaires.  Result shows that respondents are inclined toward the assertive and motivated communication strategy.  Student’s relationship with organization is not consistent.  Student shows a good relationship with their peers but not with lectures and supporting staff.  This shows that the chosen communication strategy among students will affect their relationship with certain group of organization.
