I’ve come to the conclusion that rich people secretly want to be mermaids.

I came upon this idea when I started to eat these noodles that were in my fridge, only to discover that they were bathed in Mussel juice.  Probably because we had some Mussels for dinner a few days ago, but that’s beside the point.  It started to make me wonder why people enjoy the nasty taste of fish so much.

And then it hit me.

Rich people secretly want to be mermaids.

When rich people like ANYTHING, it makes the rest of the world jealous and want that same thing.  Or something like that, I don’t know.  So why would they like fish?  Because mermaids eat fish.  Like a Barbie complex, they want to be just like their fishy role-models.  Long, flowing dresses that imitate fish tails, Make-up that looks like someone dunked their head in water, and the obsession with bottled water from some springs in France or something, which are obviously hide-outs for mermen and mermaids.

Salmon, lox, mussels, caviar… the obsession with fish and fish-based foods are overpowering.  The only logical solution is their longing to be mermaids
